Intensive Language & Culture in Kyoto Japan 2016 Program

There are many study abroad programs in Florida International University, I was fortunate to choose the Japanese language and Culture in Kyoto, Japan. This program allows students to be fully immersed in the language and culture. Students were able to take classes in one Japan’s top universities, which was Ritsumeikan University and workshops.  While in Japan, I was abled to visit places such as Kinkaku-ji, Kiyomizu Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Todai-ji, Ryoanji Temple, the Bamboo Forest in Arashiyama, the deer forest of Nara, and Osaka. I was also abled to go a Zen Garden in Ryoanji where I tried Zen meditation, played games with a Maiko-san and a Geiko-san, try on traditional Japanese kimono for the summer called a Yukata and make tea for a Tea Ceremony.
